Timber Entrance and Side Gates

Our timber gates are hand crafted from Scandanavian Redwood, which is kiln dried and planed all over. Our gates are made to a very high standard, mortised, tenoned and dowled and guaranteed to last for 15 years. When all cuts have been made, and before the gate is assembled, all timber components are pressure treated with Tanalith E. This ensures that all cut sections (including internal ones) are fully protected.

All our timber is harvested from well managed forests where the trees are replanted.

Gates are made in standard sizes and can also be custom-made to suit your entrance. All gates are made 4' high as standard, unless stated oterwise - but can be custom made to different hights. All prices are for single gates. Gates are painted or stained by our customers to suit their needs.

Our side gates are designed as a simple solution to those seeking more secutiry and privace in the modern urban house. They fit most semi-detached homes, allowing you to secure entrance to the rear garden by the side of the house.

All our gates are delivered to the customer in a natural timber state, pressure treated with Tanilith E which protects the gate against premature decay.

However, it is necessary that a good quality wood stain is applied by the customer (e.g. Bondex). This will prevent the timber from discolouration and will also act as a weather replellent and should be applied once a year.

As timber is a natural product comprising of knots and grain, it is possible that some cracks may appear. However, this will not impinge on the strength of the product.
